Julie Johnson, CFA, is the Managing Director of Fresh Pond Capital. She has worked in socially responsible investing since 1998 and earned the Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 2006. Ms. Johnson is a board member of Camp Starfish, a non-profit providing summer programs for children who are behaviorally and emotionally challenged. She also is active in supporting local agriculture and children through her work with Waltham Fields Community Farm and The Food Project. She has collaborated with Resource Generation, a progressive organization working with wealthy young people to effect social change. Before joining the investment field, Ms. Johnson worked as a community organizer for MASSPIRG and the Sierra Club. Ms. Johnson graduated summa cum laude with honors from Bowdoin College with a double major in History and Women's Studies. She has two step-children and a young son whose escapades can be read on his own blog.
Charlton Reynders, III, is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Reynders, McVeigh Capital Management, the parent company of Fresh Pond Capital. He has more than fifteen years of experience in investment management and social venture investing. He has structured and funded public/private partnerships which have brought more than $150 million in revenues to leading cultural institutions. His vision has helped create a number of critically acclaimed IMAX environmental films, including Whales, Dolphins, Bears, and Coral Reef Adventure. The latest film, Grand Canyon Adventure: River at Risk, will open worldwide in March, 2008. Chat is a graduate of Princeton University.
Patrick McVeigh, President of Reynders, McVeigh Capital Management, has over twenty-five years of experience in the socially responsible investment industry. He has served on the boards of SEED: The Haitian Community Loan Fund, the Social Investment Forum, and the San Jose Food Co-op. He graduated from Santa Clara University and was named the West Coast Athletic Conference’s Scholar Athlete of the Year.
